Might be worth mentioning WebDAV / Python Collection class / Go FileSystem here. "Need to parse the manifest_text" sounds a bit like a recommendation to write your own parsing code, which I don't think we want to encourage.

Perhaps this info should be inside the "list" method section? As is, the flow (list of attributes, some general info, nuance of filter behavior in list method, list of methods) seems a bit odd to me.
