It looks like the fix is to replace

                req.reply(res => {
                    res.body.modified_by_user_uuid = "zzzzz-tpzed-000000000000000";
                });

with

                req.on('response', res => {
                    res.body.modified_by_user_uuid = "zzzzz-tpzed-000000000000000";
                });
