It supports multiple storage backends:

Looks like authentication is pluggable too:

In scope:

  • serving images used by our jenkins CI/CD so we don't rely on Docker hub
  • serving arvados/jobs image so our users don't rely on docker hub

Not in scope:

  • How Arvados itself stores and serves images
