It Two problems: a) groups are not added to existing users (the update-shell-accounts.rb script in the puppet repo needs to be made smarter) b) it is not possible to add a group through workbench if a user is already in a group. The form description says that the list should be comma separated, but if you add a group and then submit, workbench does not appear to update the database - it just throws away any new information.
