Governance¶

Orvos is a brand new project. Today it is managed by Clinical Future. There are two commiters (Tom Clegg and Ward Vanderwege). Essentially, Tom and Ward are self appointed co-dictators for now. Anyone is welcome to fork the code and make pull requests. Tom and Ward will review and make commit decisions.

In the short term we plan to promote more people as commiters based on their participation in the project and the quality of their work (as assessed by Tom, Ward, and other participants). As participation grows in the community, we plan to transition the Orvos project to a foundation that is organized in a way similar to the OpenStack project. We basically decided it doesn't make sense to set this up until we have more organizations and individuals involved in the project.
